As reported by TheGamer, Ubisoft's latest earnings call has revealed that Assassin's Creed Shadows' Claws of Awaji expansion will be "coming in Q2" of FY2025, which finishes at the end of September. Its presence in Assassin's Creed Shadows' year one roadmap indicated it was set to arrive this year, but it seems players can expect to see it before the end of September. Essentially, it shouldn't be more than two months away, which is exciting for fans who enjoyed the base game.

Assassin's Creed Shadows' Claws of Awaji DLC Should Arrive By the End of September

This aligns with a rumor from May, which suggested that Claws of Awaji would be released in either September or October 2025. As of Ubisoft's latest earnings report, it seems it's going to be out sooner rather than later. The 10-hour DLC will take Noae and Yasuke to the island of Awaji, where the pair will hunt for lost treasure while being hunted by the Sanzoku Ippa. There are even new skills and a new weapon type being added, offering plenty to attract players who completed Assassin's Creed Shadows closer to its launch.

Following the success of Assassin's Creed Shadows, it appears that Ubisoft is betting big on the franchise over the next few years. There are huge hints that an Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake is in the works, while titles like Assassin's Creed Hexe and Jade also remain in development.
