Twisted Tree is one of the early factions that players will encounter in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The faction is made up of the members of the Takahashi Clan, who follow their twisted code and terrorize the citizens of Kyoto. Players must put an end to their reign of terror and eliminate the Twisted Tree. However, members like Takahashi Goro were unwillingly dragged into this lifestyle, so players must decide whether to spare him or to eliminate him like his family.

Where to Find Takahashi Goro of the Twisted Tree in Assassin's Creed Shadows

While pursuing Takahashi Goro of the Twisted Tree, players can find him inside the Shokokuji Temple in the northern part of Kyoto in Assassin's Creed Shadows. After entering the temple, players can use the Eagle Vision ability to figure out the exact location of the target. If you can't find him, he's standing right below the synchronization point of the temple.

When players approach Takahashi Goro, they'll notice that he's crying and isn't willing to put up a fight. At this point, players will get the choice of whether they would like to attack/kill him or spare him.

Should You Kill or Spare Takahashi Goro?

Before we get into the outcome of the choice, an important thing to note is the target descriptions on the objective board. While all the other targets say that they'll avenge their father's death, Takahashi Goro's intel says that "he will be free if his father dies." This piece of intel should be taken into consideration before you make your final choice when deciding the fate of the target.

Kill Takahashi Goro Outcome

If players select the "kill" option, it will lead to a battle with Takahashi Goro. Although he's a strong opponent, he won't be much trouble if you've got the right abilities and gear. Once the battle is over, he'll be marked as assassinated on the objective board, and players will move on to the next target.

Spare Takahashi Goro Outcome

If players choose the "spare" option, Naoe will comfort him, saying he doesn't have to be like his siblings. Takahashi Goro will plead for Ichi-Hime's life towards the end, and the confrontation will end.
