Ubisoft confirms the parkour system has been improved following a community discovery after the big title update for Assassin's Creed Shadows. There was plenty of worry for Assassin's Creed Shadows due to a tumultuous development period which saw plenty of delays and controversies. However, the sentiment quickly turned positive on release thanks to strong reviews and word of mouth.

In fact, the launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows has been a monumental one for Ubisoft, as the game continues to reach new sales milestones and push technological boundaries on devices like the PlayStation 5 Pro. To continue that strong momentum, Ubisoft Quebec has announced plans to keep the game updated as well as respond to player feedback and create new content to enjoy over the course of the next year. One such player requested change has seemingly come earlier than expected.

Recently, Assassin's Creed Shadows launched Title Update 4, a large update that added a free quest to check out, character bios inside of the Codex, and plenty more. As players were able to go hands-on with the new update, some in the community, like parkour enthusiast Ropotopolous, noticed that Naoe's parkour moves felt and looked better. While the patch notes didn't specifically mention anything regarding parkour tweaks, Ubisoft would later go on to confirm things.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Makes Big Parkour Improvements

As revealed by Ubisoft, the requested change came a bit earlier than expected and tweaked things to add a "subtle increase for consistently maintaining vertical height while free running." Ubisoft Quebec is planning on adding parkour tweaks to Assassin's Creed Shadows in the next update, as a comment from the devs on Ropotopolous' video revealed improvements to height-gaining side and back ejects. Either way, the changes appear to have resonated with players, as many have left positive comments on the update.

While not a live service-style game, it's clear that the launch was just the beginning for Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed Shadows released a Year 1 content roadmap showcasing all of the planned content, updates, and collaborations. Fans can also look forward to the Claws of Awaji expansion, though unfortunately, Ubisoft has not provided a release window for the content.
