After assassinating Wada Koretake with the help of Yaya in the Heads Will Roll quest, Naoe will meet up with her in an attempt to convince her to join the league in Assassin's Creed Shadows. However, after arriving at the scene, she will ask Naoe's assistance in confronting a monk who stole from a shrine he was meant to serve. Here, players will encounter a choice: whether to suggest that Yaya forgive the shrine raider or punish him for his crime. Let's check out both outcomes.
Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Achievements & Trophies
Assassin's Creed Shadows features several trophies/achievements that players can unlock as they progress through the story, here's a list of them.
Where to Find Yaya in the Stray Dogs Quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows
After completing the Heads Will Roll quest, players will have access to Yaya's questline, starting with the Stray Dogs quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows. You'll need to look for Yaya in Osaka, who is near the Fishermen's District in the Izumi Settsu province (exact location on the map above).
Yaya will be fighting off some bandits, so players will have to give her a hand. Once the fight is over, Naoe and Yaya will reflect on the assassination of Wada Koretake. After the conversation, Yaya will ask Naoe's help in confronting the stealing shrine raider.
Should You Ask Yaya to Forgive or Punish the Shrine Raider?
During the conversation with Yaya, she'll ask Naoe's suggestion about whether they should forgive or punish the shrine raider for stealing from the holy place or should we forgive him. There's also a pop-up on the screen indicating how Naoe's response will have an impact on Yaya.
We Forgive Him Outcome
If players choose the "we forgive him" option, Yaya will agree with Naoe's decision. She'll then forgive the shrine raider for his crime and let him off on a warning that he'll be in trouble if she ever catches her stealing again.
We Punish Him Outcome
If players choose the "we punish him" option, Yaya will disagree with Naoe, saying that the shrine raider is a monk who has taken vows, and someday he'll return to them. Yaya always had a positive outlook on things and has always sought good in people, believing that revenge is never the right path. So, her action here reflects the character that players have got to know so far.
So, even if players choose the punish option, there aren't any negative consequences to it, and the mission will continue the same in both cases. Now, players will need to complete Yaya's questline in order to unlock her as an ally in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
