How to Start Soup for Sorin Quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows

To unlock the Soup for Sorin quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows, players will have to complete the previous Junjiro quest, "A Different Kind of Samurai," with Yasuke. Once the quest is completed, players will spot a Soup for Sorin quest marker way down in the Kii province.

Even though it'll take a long ride just to reach the edge of Kii, it's a level 35 area with strong enemies. So, players should hold off this quest until they reach at least level 30. Once you're all leveled up, meet up with Junjiro in Yuasa, a village on the Sazae Oni Shores.

Junjiro will explain how he has arrived at Kii, looking for ingredients to make a special soup for Sorin. Although he has most of the ingredients, he'll ask Naoe to search for one more ingredient that would add meaning to the soup. In this conversation, Junjiro hints at a brown ingredient, like a dirt path, to which Naoe adds something from the sea, to symbolize changing tides.

With this information, players can go ahead and start looking for Shoyu and that special ingredient to put in the soup for Sorin.

Where to Find the Vendor in Yausa to Get Ingredients in Soup for Sorin?

The quest intel changes to buy the ingredients from a merchant in Yuasa. However, after looking around the village with Naoe's Eagle Vision ability, there aren't any around. To find the merchant, players must travel to the northwest part of Yuasa. There's an ornament vendor here who will have different ingredients for sale.

Players need to get one Shoyu and one Konbu from the merchant. After that, return to Junjiro and give him all the ingredients to mark the soup for Sorin quest as completed in Assassin's Creed Shadows. As a reward, players will get the Hay Supply outdoor cosmetic for the Hideout.
