After rescuing 20 Bots, Astro Bot players will be able to smash the lock on the Gorilla Nebula's boss planet, which will unlock the Mighty Chewy boss fight. Before they can take the great ape down, they'll first need to do a bit of platforming, which will eventually lead them to the boss arena.

Most of the Astro Bot cameo characters are pretty easy to identify, but there are a few VIP Bots who are obscure and thus can be difficult to place.
The boss itself has two main phases and a few different attacks that players will need to familiarize themselves with in order to emerge victorious. Understanding how to counter these attacks and knowing what to expect can make life a lot easier for players, particularly with this being the very first boss fight in Astro Bot.
How to Beat Mighty Chewy (Gorilla Nebula Boss Fight)
When players first arrive on the boss platform, Chewy will toss out some monkey enemies which players can take out fairly easily with a spinning punch attack. He'll then start to drag a building across the platform, at which point, players will need to position themselves so that they can charge through one of the doors or windows, kind of like an old American television show called Hole in the Wall. The first one is pretty easy, but it gets progressively harder as the fight goes on.
In the first phase of the boss fight, Chewy will smash a golden bell into the ground multiple times to end each cycle. Just like on the Construction Derby planet, players will need to jump over the shockwaves that the bell creates and then charge into the bell, which will cause it to fly into the air and land on Chewy's head. Once this happens, he'll be stunned temporarily, allowing players to charge into his eye a bunch of times.
This cycle repeats until players have damaged both eyes, at which point, Chewy will tear the boss arena in half. When this happens, players will need to use a combination of Astro's booster jets and the charge attack to avoid falling through the gap in the middle of the platform. Once Chewy puts the platform back together, they should dodge the shock waves caused by his bites and then charge into his teeth.
As with the previous phase, this cycle will repeat twice, with players knocking out three of Chewy's teeth per cycle. Once all six have been destroyed, the boss will collapse onto the boss platform, allowing players to head into his mouth and charge into the gold coin at the back of his throat. Doing so will unlock a cameo Bot based on Spike from Ape Escape, as well as the Apes on the Loose planet.
