Tech giant AMD may be working on the Ryzen 9000X3D lineup of gaming-focused processors, according to source code data from some new ASUS motherboard listings that have made the rounds on social media. The news came as AMD launched the Ryzen 9000 series of CPUs following some delays in manufacturing. The mistake was documented on social media after the initial delay was confirmed, but AMD did not clarify if the printing mistake was the sole reason for the pushed-back release. However, the Ryzen 9000 series launched on August 8 and 15, with the Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X arriving on August 8, and the Ryzen 9 9900X and 9950X arriving a week later.

According to the German site ComputerBase (translated by Wccftech), the source code from an ASUS website dedicated to its X870 and X870E motherboard lineup listed AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs as compatible processors that the motherboard's AM5 socket can utilize. Like the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and 7800X3D, the apparent Ryzen 9000X3D processors would incorporate AMD's patented 3D V-Cache technology to improve gaming performance. As for the motherboards, the ASUS X870E and X870 chipsets feature PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support and also include compatibility with RyzenAI processors. Other chipsets like B850 and B840 were also identified in the ASUS motherboard website's source code, but no further details were given.
