Unlike more traditional entries in the Shin Megami Tensei series, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army is an action RPG set in Taisho-era Japan. Apprentice detective and protagonist Raidou Kuzunoha is a Devil Summoner assigned to protect the capital and investigate the Dark Realm, which sits between the real world and a demon-infested netherworld. Nearly two decades after the game's original release, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army will be available on PC and modern platforms in a new remaster.
Rumored Persona Game Reportedly Coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One
At least one of Atlus's upcoming Persona RPGs is reportedly coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, according to one Microsoft leaker.
First announced at the March 27 Nintendo Direct, RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is set for release on June 19 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The remaster includes an improved battle system based on the mechanics of the original game's sequel, 2008's Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. King Abaddon. Moreover, the remaster features enhanced graphics, full English voice-overs for the main story, and additional quality-of-life enhancements, including quick saves, auto-saves, new difficulty options, and much more, according to the game's official website.

Like previous mainline entries in the series, development of RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is led by Kazuyuki Yamai, the game director of 2024's well-received turn-based RPG Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The development team confirmed that 50 new demons will be in the game for a total of more than 120 demons. Some of the demons are returning names from Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, such as Hayataro and Tsuchigumo.
RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army will be available digitally and physically, with the physical editions being confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. The standard edition will cost $49.99, and those wanting the most of their RAIDOU Remastered experience may purchase the digital deluxe edition for $64.99, featuring "Guest Demons Pack," "Demons of the Aril Rift," "Kuzunoha Village Trainings," "Skill Book Pack," and "Survival Pack" DLCs. What's more, pre-orders are now live with the "Raidou's Glasses" cosmetic item as an added bonus.
If previous rumors hold true, a remaster of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. King Abaddon could be heading to all platforms in the future. A remake of Persona 4 is also rumored, but Atlus has not officially confirmed development of either game. Nonetheless, RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army looks to be an exciting release for fans of the original game and newer Shin Megami Tensei fans.
