Many RPGs feature sprawling landscapes with multiple locations for you to experience. That's why they often have some kind of fast travel system to make exploration a bit easier. Atomfall is a smaller game, but it still has some wide-open areas that are full of secrets and locations for you to poke around in.

The big question is, does Atomfall have a fast-travel system to save you some time when making your way to its various regions? Well, not exactly, but there are ways for you to get around the quarantine zone a little faster.

Can You Fast Travel In Atomfall?

Unfortunately, Atomfall does not have a traditional fast travel system. You can't go to your map, click on a location, and warp there like you can in games like Fallout or Skyrim. This makes back-tracking a little more tedious than it should be, as you'll need to walk all the way back to places you want to re-visit.

However, that doesn't mean that there aren't ways to cut down on your travel time. Atomfall utilizes shortcuts to help you get back to places without having to walk the full way back. When you look at the map, if you see an icon that looks like a two-way street sign, this will usually mark an entrance that will bring you to another region.

Now, you just need to find the shortcuts.

Where To Find Shortcuts In Atomfall

The most common place to find shortcuts is The Interchange. This is the massive facility that you'll have to enter to advance the main plot. Through The Interchange, you can find shortcuts leading you to Slatten Dale, Wyndham Village, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor.

However, it won't be as simple as just walking into The Interchange and following the signs. In the early portion of the game, many areas within The Interchange will be closed off due to a lack of power. You'll have to use Atomic Batteries to power up the entire building, which will open new sections of The Interchange. Then you can use the signs on the wall to find entrances to every region. Just be aware that some of these shortcuts will be guarded by outlaws, Protocol soldiers, mounted turrets on the wall, and even giant B.A.R.D. Robots.

Wyndham Village itself is a sort of hub that has exits leading out to Slatten Dale, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor. As long as you don't anger the Protocol soldiers stationed in the town, you can get to each region from this village.

Where To Find Every Trader In Atomfall

The people of Atomfall rely on a bartering system to survive. Here's where to find every NPC that will trade with you in the game.

Another spot where you can find shortcuts is the Sewer Tunnels in Slatten Dale. You can find an entrance to the sewers at the coordinates 28.0 E, 79.4 N. There's another way in at the coordinates 24.7 E, 78.2 N, although you'll need to trade with Molly to get the key to open it. In there, you'll encounter some druids that will attack you on sight. But once you deal with them, you'll find ways out of the sewers that lead to both Casterfell Woods and Wyndham Village.

If you're looking for a shortcut to Skethermoor, you can get there through the Slate Mine Caves in Slatten Dale. There are two entrances into the mines. One will be close to the beginning of the game at the coordinates 28.9 E, 71.1 N. The other entrance is near the Slatten Dale Radio Tower at the coordinates 30.0 E, 73.5 N. Inside the mines will be a man named Reg Stansfield who you can chat with. Head left of him, and you'll find a way to Skethermoor.
