Despite his failings as a leader, Shadis proves his worth to the cause as he helps the remaining scouts escape Paradis and the Jaegerists. When Shadis and Theo Magath blow up the remaining ship, they both die in the process in order to save the world.

Out of all the scouts closest to Levi's skill level, only Miche and Mikasa even come close, with Miche having an impressive resume to boot. Miche is one of the scout members who captured Levi and his crew in the Underground, showing Miche's impeccable abilities. Miche's talents even go as far as being able to track Titans by smell, an unusual and valuable skill for a scout member.
Despite being an extremely skilled scout, Miche falls victim to the Beast Titan, Zeke Yeager. Miche is eventually eaten alive by Titans due to his legs being crushed by Zeke, leaving him immobilized.

When Historia joins the scouts, she develops a strong relationship with fellow scout member Ymir, with Ymir later being revealed to be a Titan. Historia's relationship with Ymir helped develop her character, as she became more confident in her actions than her former self, who often lacked a voice.
