This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
Attack on Titan is an absolute phenomenon when it comes to anime and fans know very well that this series defined a generation. The level of dark plotlines that it unfolded and the intense and gruesome action that it threw into the mix set a standard that few series have managed to match since. It's been quite a while since Attack on Titan officially ended, and since then, no series has truly been able to fill the hole that it left. That said, there are some that come close.
Attack On Titan Is Officially Returning With A New Project
Attack on Titan is celebrating its 16th anniversary with a new and exciting project.
To be clear, Attack on Titan is a story the likes of which will never be seen again, but tons of Attack on Titan fans have found a lot of joy in watching the next big Shonen hit, Jujutsu Kaisen. This is because, just like Attack on Titan, JJK is gruesome despite being a Shonen series, and it does more than enough to tackle the most dark themes in its genre. While Attack on Titan isn't coming back, JJK will officially return with a new season in 2026.

- Attack on Titan and JJK feature many deaths
Jujutsu Kaisen is a unique Shonen anime that fans have come to absolutely love over the years. While the beginning of the story was humble, fans know very well that once the anime for JJK dropped, the series absolutely blew up and it went on to shatter all sorts of records. MHA and JJK ended last year, and Oda, the creator of One Piece, reveals how they can be replaced.
No anime can truly replace Attack on Titan. But, Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan share a lot of themes, especially when it comes to exploring the gruesome side of the media. Attack on Titan author Hajime Isayama was never afraid to explore dark plot points or to kill off his characters. Similarly, Gege Akutami is never too scared to kill off his main characters, and more than that, write plotlines so twisted that they send chills down one's spine. In many ways, JJK is the best anime that fans of Attack on Titan can watch right now. In January 2026, fans will once again get the chance to watch Jujutsu Kaisen as Season 3 drops with the Culling Game. If the first two seasons were gruesome, what's to come will absolutely shock the fans, and the selfie will take turns so dark that anime watchers won't believe what they're witnessing. It's all going to unfold in a few months from now.

Jujutsu Kaisen Will Showcase The Most Intense Arc
The Culling Game Is Set To Begin
The Culling Game Arc will officially mark the beginning of the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, and as such, the intensity of the story will be at its very peak. With Gojo not around anymore, the main cast will have to step up and face ancient horrors, as well as powerful enemies that seek to destroy the world in one way or another. All of this will officially go down in JJK Season 3 very soon.
