This article contains spoilers up to season 7 of My Hero Academia
As fans eagerly await the arrival of the eighth and final season of My Hero Academia dropping in October, they luckily won't have to wait very long to consume some brand-new content from the anime. The My Hero Academia Fest is a celebration of the series which takes place every few years, and while it was last seen in 2022, it's now making a grand return in just a few days time, and will be including some pretty special goodies that fans of the hit anime series will definitely want to check out for themselves.
The last My Hero Academia Fest gave fans a glimpse of what they could expect for season six, but considering this latest season in the queue is going to act as the epic finale to the story, it makes sense that this event in particular is gaining so much attention. Let's dive into exactly when this celebration is taking place, and why it's so important that fans keep an eye on it.
My Hero Academia Fest Arrives On August 17th
And The Theme This Time Around Is Heroes X Villains
The latest My Hero Academia Fest will take place in Yokohama's Pia Arena MM on August 17th, and to get fans excited, a key visual was dropped earlier in the week showcasing the central theme of this year's event. The focus this time around is on Heroes X Villains, allowing both factions to partake in the celebrations rather than just focusing on a few select heroes, as has been in the case in previous years.
The visual itself is a stunning piece of artwork showing many of the key characters from the series dressed to the nines in snazzy attire to suit the momentous occasion. Considering the final section of the story will revolve around the last stages of the climactic war between the heroes and villains, it makes sense that both of them would get a chance to shine for presumably the last ever My Hero Academia Fest, but that's not all that this event offers.
There are also plenty of pieces of rare merchandise up for grabs, including several jaw-dropping acrylic stands of characters such as All Might and Bakugo, and even a few glitter badges too. Additionally, the voice actors will also be reflecting on season 7, and will be sharing their experiences playing each of the characters as part of a talk corner. Clearly, the team behind the event are aiming to make this a truly special occasion for all the die-hard My Hero Academia fans out there, but the biggest question on everyone's tongue is whether there will be any news for the hotly anticipated eighth season at the event.
Will Season 8 Be Shown?
Fans Will Get To Experience A Brief Preview Of The Final Season
Just like previous events, this year's My Hero Academia Fest will be showing a sneak preview of the very first episode of season 8. If the teaser trailer is anything to go by, the animation, music, and action scenes for this climactic portion of the story are going to help make the finale feel as epic as possible, and this small glimpse will help to keep a lot of fans occupied while they wait for the official season to release in October.
Of course, anybody who wants no spoilers for the upcoming season will definitely want to try and avoid this preview, which will no doubt be spread across the internet not long after it airs. On the other hand though, those who simply just can't get enough of My Hero Academia and want more of it in their lives right now should definitely give it a watch if they can, considering there are still a few months to go before the season finally arrives.
The event will also feature several of the key voice actors who play a big part in the series, and since this year's theme is Heroes X Villains, it's highly likely that the villains' voice actors will also be along for the ride this time too. Needless to say, this is an event which My Hero Academia fans will definitely want to mark down on their calendar, as there's no doubt this is going to be a pretty big occasion.
