About Abigail Angell

Abigail Angell is an Evergreen Writer with The Best War Games from Salt Lake City in the United States of America. Research and video gaming are two of her favorite hobbies, closely followed by sharing her knowledge. As a result, making the jump into guide and list writing for the gaming industry felt natural. She began her professional writing career four years ago on Upwork before transitioning into a Regular Contributor at Online Publications such as The Best War Games.

Favorite Console

My first gaming system was a Gameboy Colored. To this day I strongly prefer either PC or handheld gaming, and as a result chose the Nintendo Switch to be the resident console in my home.

Favorite Games

My favorite games tend to have RPG and Horror elements - I can't get enough of exploration and deep involvement in a story. Some favorites include Until Dawn, Diablo 4, Detroit: Become Human, and Baldur's Gate 3.

However, sometimes I'm not ready for that kind of investment, and at those times I find joy in survival games like Minecraft or 7 Days to Die, or cozy builders like Stardew Valley.

Industry Focus

My focus in the industry is on games in the survival, RPG, and horror genres. I write guides and lists, though guides focused on 100% completion of a game are my favorite.  It is also a passion project to cover indie games and recognize the hard work of smaller developers.
