About Ahmad Rafiq

Ahmad's idea of a successful life involves three things: unlimited time to play video games, a chiseled body with abs that can grate cheese, and all-you-can-eat buffets at all times (ironic, I know). This medical graduate is a religious enjoyer of all categories of video games and has developed full-fledged opinions on games you've probably never even heard of. Favorite Games

I love the Batman Arkham trilogy (excluding Arkham Origins and the abysmal Kill the Suicide Squad) to death.

I have played the three titles more times than I can count, every time on a harder difficulty or with a new self-created challenge.

Some other titles that share the podium are Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, MGS 1, Uncharted 4, Disco Elysium, Hollow Knight, Forza Horizon, and the Forza Motorsport series.

Favorite Console

PlayStation 2, and it isn't even a competition.

The PS2 was my first ever gaming console and it introduced me to the world of video games. It was my longest-lasting gaming console and the console into which I put most hours. My love for it goes beyond just nostalgia; the gaming industry as a whole was just better back then.

Industry Focus

I look at the game titles that skip the attention of the masses. This includes mostly indie titles and AA games that are a bit rough around the edges.

On smaller budgets, developers aren't afraid to take risks and be creative in game design, something that sadly cannot be said about many major AAA titles.
