Alex is a hardcore gamer since the days of the Super Nintendo and has been going hard ever since. An obsession with technology and wanting to always stay ahead of the curve on what's the new hot thing on the block has always naturally given some attraction to gaming.

Since 2021, Alex has written for multiple publications and reviewed some of the hottest indie titles such as Pacific Drive, even receiving praise for his work delving into some aspects of games not seen in other coverage.

Favorite Games

Alex has a long standing connection to games that feature some form of giant robot. From the early days of Squaresoft's Front Mission series to Megaton Musashi, if it's got a giant robot in it, Alex probably knows something about it.

When not enjoying a good stompy bot game, Alex enjoys RPGs and indie games not typically seen on the mainstream circuits. Right now he's playing titles such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop, and SynDuality: Echo of Ada.

Industry Focus

Alex likes to write primarily about strategy guides, opinion pieces about upcoming titles, and coverage of genres. There is something fulfilling about discovering something new in a game and being able to write about it as one of the first people to see it. It's not quite being Indiana Jones, but it comes close.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Back in the Xbox 360's heyday, Alex was once in the top 50 players for Burnout: Paradise when it was brand new. He held multiple top records for hot-laps on street routes and Crash Mode high scores.

Alex has also participated in multiple Contest Mode launches for Destiny 2's raids and won. While hardly near the top 10 first to finish, just being able to achieve the win has been a great experience.
