About Alexander Moore

Alexander Moore is a gaming news writer from the United Kingdom.

He has a master's degree in Creative Writing and an undergraduate degree in English Literature with Creative Writing, both from Newcastle University.

After a childhood surrounded by books and video games, and devoted to all things fantasy and Sci-Fi, Alex eventually decided to go outside. It was here he discovered the joys of hiking and fresh air, a hobby somewhat hampered by the release of Baldur's Gate 3.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Unlocking all the Vidmaster Achievements on Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST. We cried, we laughed, we cried again... but eventually we won that sweet, sweet Recon. 

In a time before microtransactions, Spartans had to prove their worth on the battlefield, and in 2009 the Recon helmet was the ultimate fashion statement. 

Favorite Console

Xbox 360, forever the most fun era of console gaming, back when sofas were meant for sharing. 

Hopping into a full Halo 3 lobby with friends and strangers alike, all ready to show off their latest custom game modes, was a social delight which is all too rare in modern gaming.
