About Anthony Everett
Originally from the UK Anthony is an avid reader and writer, now based in Finland. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA in German with Dutch Studies and spent a semester each in Belgium and Germany. He is currently writing mostly about video games, but also has a lot of love for TV and sport.
Favorite Console
So many fond memories from my childhood playing on my PS1 and PS2, and I still occasionally dust them off today, but nowadays it's hard to pull myself away from the Nintendo Switch. As the library continues to grow, so too does my love for the console, especially with some older games making their way to the platform.
Favorite Games
It's always tough to narrow down my favourite anything, but a good turn-based strategy game like XCOM or Civ always catches my eye, and immersing myself in an open-world RPG is a great way to gobble up my free time. I love the creativity of indie games and have a constant internal struggle to stop myself from starting a new manager career in FIFA/EA FC.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
These days it feels like finishing a game is an achievement. Despite my thirty years of playing video games I'm still bad at them for the most part, relying on blind luck and underhanded tactics. Testing my perseverance by earning all of the ace medals and hidden items in Neon White made me proud, but I will never even attempt to earn the "red" medals!
