About Chris Harkin
Chris Harkin is a gamer who creates all sorts of content across the internet, from writing and video creation to streaming gaming on YouTube. He loves taking on challenges and gaming every day in one way or another and is an avid film watcher as well. Having written freelance for various websites for over ten years now, Chris is working with The Best War Games because of their devotion to the gaming industry and ability to dig further into the specifics of each new release.
Chris has a wide variety of interests, from many RPGs to survival games and even several of the major online shooters that drive so much interest nowadays in the gaming industry. His favorite games cover a list of genres and eras of gaming, while his interest in films and comic books focuses greatly on the older side of things.
Favorite Games
I've got a lot of sentimentality for childhood games such as Simpsons: Hit & Run and Age Of Mythology, but also more recent games like Skyrim and Fallout 4.
More recently, I've found myself invested in open-world survival games like Subnautica and The Forest. In terms of story-driven games I love, I'm a huge fan of the BioShock and Ori franchises, while I've also more recently taken up online shooters like Valorant and Overwatch.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
After many hours, and many different runs, I managed at last to 100% complete Skyrim. As a truly massive game that I love so much, it was hugely gratifying to finally complete and see everything that the game had to offer.
Favorite Console
The Xbox 360 console was hugely relevant to my teenage years, and it was the first console I got really invested in getting every new major game I could get for it. From games like Skyrim and GTA V that introduced me to the large open-world idea, to many sports games and story-focused games like the original BioShock, there are a lot of fond memories attached to that console.
