About Dane Enerio

Dane Enerio is a news writer from the Philippines. He started out in 2018 as a newspaper reporter that covered the government. Dane then moved on to online publications like The Best War Games, where he always used his position to talk about his true passion - video games - whenever he could. Having grown up playing all sorts of games, Dane does not discriminate, and he will play anything as long as it is fun.

Favorite Games

Aside from being fun, my favorite games are also experiences that provided me with countless invaluable life lessons. The Halo franchise helped me understand what it meant to be human. Games like Team Fortress 2, World of Tanks, and Rainbow Six Siege, meanwhile, taught me the value of communication and friendship. Stardew Valley and Pokemon, the beauty of the world. Even titles like Hearts of Iron 4 and Total War made me appreciate something as mundane as logistics.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

It took some time, but I was able to defeat the major bosses in Elden Ring without any help from friends. People play games for different reasons, and I finished FromSoftware's critically acclaimed fantasy RPG to prove a point: I can overcome any obstacle in life with enough determination... even if that comes in the form of a god-like cosmic being that can shoot stars at you.

Favorite Console

During my childhood, I spent countless hours playing on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP. It did not only keep boredom away, but it also helped me meet people who were interested in video games. Those peaceful, happy days with good company I will forever cherish and look back on fondly.
