About Dominik Bošnjak
Dominik Bošnjak is a freelance writer from Croatia. He has been writing about games for as long as he can remember and began doing so professionally in 2010 because an opportunity presented itself while he was pursuing a degree in journalism.
Before TheBestWarGames, Dominik worked as a journalist, editor, and video editor for over half a dozen outlets spanning two continents, covering video games, technology, and entertainment. He has bylines at IGN Adria, SamMobile, Android Headlines, Spilled, HCL, 24sata, and VIDI, among others.
If he was forced to pick a favorite game genre, he'd go with RPGs, but he wasn't, so he didn't.
Favorite Games
In no particular order: Gothic 1 and 2, Fallout 2 and New Vegas, Persona 3-5, Disco Elysium, Sekiro, TES 3: Morrowind, XCOM 2, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Hitman: Blood Money, GTA: San Andreas, Hotline Miami, Splinter Cell 1-3, MGS3, Sid Meier's Pirates (the remake), Star Wars: KOTOR, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Assassin's Creed 2, NFS: Underground 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Picking just one is impossible, but beating Sekiro Charmless with Demon Bell on a fresh New Game run is certainly up there; that run only took a year!
Getting into top 500 Hearthstone EU players in 2015 was another memorable moment for me.
In terms of literal achievements, unlocking Persona 4 Golden's Hardcore Risette Fan trophy comes to mind, because it required pouring over spreadsheets for hours on end.
Industry Focus
Dominik covers a wide variety of gaming industry topics, including development updates, financial reports, and labor issues. He also keeps a close eye on game subscription service libraries, cataloging any changes to them.
