About Jinal Bhatt
Since 2019, she has been a film and television critic, lending sharp cultural context and relentless fangirl enthusiasm to everything from the MCU and Indian cinema to The Rings of Power, Bridgerton, and House of the Dragon.
Previously, as the editor of Hauterrfly, a women’s magazine, Jinal led editorial strategy and operations, and mentored aspiring writers who will forever thank her in their speeches (hopefully).
Industry Focus
Jinal has strong opinions and will write about whatever moves her, but chiefly on film/TV in the context of the world we live in.
Favorite TV Shows
Jinal is an unapologetic rewatcher of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and that entire CW lot. She wishes she could experience Succession and Dark again for the first time.
She's too afraid to rewatch This Is Us, because the emotions would end her.
Favorite Movies
Jinal believes there will never be anything greater than The Lord of The Rings trilogy (extended edition, of course).
But Pride & Prejudice, A Few Good Men, and Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham will also do.
