About Katherine Wakelin

Katherine is a writer for The Best War Games. Previously a Disney College Program participant, she loves anything Disney, especially Mickey-shaped foods. She's been going to theme parks since she was a kid and still believes there's nothing better than theme park visits.

When she's not planning another trip to Florida, Katherine plays strategy games like Sid Meier's Civilization or drags her family into playing new board games. She also enjoys relaxing by playing Stardew Valley or Minecraft. 

If she's tired of gaming, she's busy binge-watching anime recommendations from her friends. If it's emotional enough to make her cry, she'll add it to her favorites.

She previously wrote about pop culture and news during various internships. She graduated with a B.S. in English.

Favorite Games

Katherine's favorite games vary on the day, but Ghost of Tsushima, Detroit: Become Human, and NieR:Automata will always be some of her favorites because of the storytelling.

Favorite Console

Katherine's favorite console will always be the Nintendo 2DS, because she has fond memories of late-night gaming with friends and family when she was younger.

Katherine focuses on news and information related to theme parks, particularly Disney and Universal. Since she previously worked at Disney World, she's gotten firsthand experience being in the parks and watching for every update to rides or events.
