About Laura Berridge

Laura is a proud gaming nerd, with an impressive crew on Star Trek Online and an addiction to any video games involving animals as the main protagonist. 
After the completion of her MA Master's degree in Writing for Performance, Publication and Broadcast, she has written regularly for the BBC and now has an array of professional writing credits to her name.
Laura is an internationally published writer, with the 'Dangerous Women Anthology' and is also the presenter and writer of the online series 'British Comedy Connections'. 
Laura grew up with gaming and has followed the impressive and truly exciting development arc from the pixelated DOS games to the flabbergasting graphics of the latest Assassins Creed.
A lifelong gamer, Laura enjoys a wide variety of different RPGs and is always enticed by any franchise that is remastered and revamped for a new audience. 


 

Proudest Gaming Achievement

I grew up playing the original King's Quest games on the largest laptop you ever did see and recently began playing the re-mastered (and very different) chapters from the beginning. 
I managed to get through the entirety of Quest for the Crown without consulting one single walkthrough at any point! What a win!

Favorite Console

The Sega Megadrive was the very first console I ever owned and to this day, it remains my absolute favourite. Even though the visuals of the mighty PS5 eclipse even the most innovative Megadrive game, I will hold Sega close to my heart forever. Jumping on the animals' backs in Lion King? Knocking out a passer-by in Paperboy? Timeless!

Favorite Games

I love games with a strong female lead, meaning the Horizon franchise is right up my street! LEGO Horizon is currently my favourite!
