About LB Beistad
LB Beistad is a writer and musician based in Nashville, TN. Her love of gaming began with her cousin introducing her to Banjo Kazooie and Jak and Daxter when she was five years old. Since then, she has grown a love specifically for narrative-driven games and platformers, but loves any game that clicks with her, no matter what the genre. Almost 25 years later, she has two decades of gaming under her belt and 3 years of experience in gaming-focused journalism. From the PS2 to the original Xbox to the GameCube, she's watched the industry continue to grow and evolve, happily jumping into every new era with an eagerness to experience as many games as possible.
Favorite Games
This is too hard of a question, so I'm making a top 5 list (in no particular order):
- Jak and Daxter
- The Last of Us Part 2
- Death Stranding 2
- Death's Door
- Alan Wake 2
Industry Focus
Action-adventure, horror, narrative-driven, RPGs, and FPS games.
Favorite Console
When it comes to the current gen consoles, I think they're all great in their own ways, but my best gaming memories have been with the PS2, so I'll have to go with that.
