About Priye Rai
Priye's fondness of gaming started early when he first beat Double Dragon II and couldn't stop himself from doing it all over again every chance he got. Since then, playing a bunch of Contra, GTA, Splinter Cell, and Assassin's Creed games has only made his fondness stronger. He now believes videogames are the natural next peak of human culture after the eras of books and movies.
Having an educational background in computer science and a lifelong knack for writing, Priye is drawn to understanding the development side of games and driven by the desire to write about emerging trends. For the better part of a decade, he has worked as a writer and has mostly covered gaming and tech, with bylines across the Times of India, Gadgets Now, Sportskeeda, and more.
Favorite Games
(In the order Priye played them) Splinter Cell: Blacklist, What Remains Of Edith Finch, Detroit: Become Human, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, It Takes Two.
While these are his current favorites, Priye is also very interested in Grand Theft Auto and Assassin's Creed titles. To scratch his competitive itch, he plays a lot of either FIFA or eFootball. His favorite genres include action-adventure, stealth, open-world, and interactive storytelling.
Favorite Console
An NES/Famicom emulator console that had a press-to-open lid mechanism for its cartridge slot, similar to the one found in the PS2 Slim. Priye played on that console all the time as a kid and, for him, it was the coolest gaming console he had ever set his eyes on.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Collecting all PS4 trophies in a game in the hopes of platinum-ing it, only to later realize that the game didn't actually have a platinum trophy. That game is one from Priye's favorite games list -- the hints are there; let him know if you correctly guessed which one it is.
