Ryan Ridzwan is a writer based in London. After playing video games his whole life, he always knew he wanted whatever it is he ends up doing in life to involve video games.
After getting a degree in Media Communications from the University of the Arts London (UAL), he decided to make the most of the knowledge he had gained and pursue his dreams of working with video games by becoming a writer at The Best War Games.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
As someone who didn't get into PC gaming until I was 18 (2017), hitting the Master rank in Overwatch in 2019 after learning the ropes less than 2 years prior was a highlight in my gaming life for sure.
Favorite Games
The Mega Man X series. One of my earliest memories of video games was playing Mega Man X4 on the original PlayStation which led to me wanting to play the rest of the series. These games sparked my love video games and they are the sole reason why platformers are my favourite video game genre.
My personal favourite from the series is Mega Man X8, possibly due to nostalgia as it's the one I played the most when I was younger but it's definitely the one I've come back to the most.
Favorite Console
Despite playing a majority of games on PC now, I think my favourite console would still be the Nintendo 3DS. It was around the time when I wanted to branch out and try different series and different genres which resulted in me discovering one of my favourite series, The Legend of Zelda.
I have many fond memories relating to that console but by far my favourite is when I was going through the motions due to some life changes but always feeling excited as soon as I got home from school, knowing I'd get to check on my island in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
