Avowed: Best Secret Items to Get in Emerald Stair

There are tons of unique equipment to find in Avowed, and the majority of them are strewn about the game's multiple open zones. A single piece of unique gear can carry players all the way to the end of the main story, so if you want to set your character up for success, you'll want to find one that best fits your playstyle.

Emerald Stair, the game's second explorable zone, has a plethora of things for players to discover, from quests to equipment and other goodies. If the early game items you got from Dawnshore aren't enough, here are a few Unique items you can find in and around Fior mes Iverno.

Minoletta's Conduit

Abritt Porrya's location in Avowed — Avowed Abritt Porrya Merchant location

Starting with a weapon for mages, Minoletta's Conduit is a unique, lightning-infused wand that deals more damage over a longer range compared to regular ones. You can buy it from Abritt Porrya, one of the vendors in Fior mes Iverno for 4914 Gold. Her store is in front of the fast travel point in the plaza.

Lodestone

Essence of War store location in Avowed — Avowed Essence of War location

Lodestone is a one-handed mace that's perfect for builds that make heavy use of the Stun mechanic in Avowed. It deals increased Stun damage, and Power Attacks with it deal Stun damage over an area, making it a great weapon against crowds. You can buy this mace from Stephan, the merchant in the Essence of War store in Fior mes Iverno.

One Last Trick Rifle

One Last Trick is an arquebus that fires bullets that bounce onto one additional nearby enemy after every hit. It reloads 20% faster than most rifles. This is a great long-ranged option for Rangers and other builds that use guns, and unlike the two weapons mentioned above, this one is completely free. You can get it by doing the Steel Resolve quest from the rangers in the Ranger Headquarters northeast of Fior mes Iverno.

Ring of the Peerless Marksman

The Ring of the Peerless Marksman increases your ranged damage by 10%, making it the perfect complement to the One Last Trick and other weapons. To get it, you need to finish a quest called Missing Rangers, which is given by Lieutenant Fidelio in the Bone & Boar Inn in Fior mes Iverno.

Make sure to get Minoletta's Conduit, Lodestone, One Last Trick, and Ring of the Peerless Marksman before you proceed with Giatta's quests. The state of the Emerald Stair will change drastically once you finish the quest in the Naku Tedek Grounds, and you may miss these items.

Painter's Brush Trinket

Painter's Brush is a wearable trinket that increases your base critical strike chance by 5%. Players can get a ton of critical strike chance if they level up their Perception stat and use skills like Critical Strike, which provides a 20% bonus crit chance on top of your other sources. This trinket is in a chest in the Wildwoods — from the Wildwoods Outskirts Party Camp, head south until you reach the cliff edge. Look for a cave along the cliff face, and Painter's Brush should be in a chest inside.

Horsecutter Greatsword

Horsecutter is one of the best two-handed weapons players can get early for a pure Fighter build in Avowed. Not only does it deal more Stun on full combos, but every hit also causes enemies to bleed, making them take damage over time. You can get this weapon by going to a cove along the coast south of Fior mes Iverno. Fight the skeletons there, and this weapon is yours.

Tranton Family Armor Set

You can get an entire set of unique armor from The Trantons, a group of outlaws hiding in the Overgrown Homestead west of the Naku Tedek Grounds. Once you beat all the main family members there, you'll get the following:

Tranton Family Brigandine
Tranton Family Gauntlets
Tranton Family Greaves
Tranton Family Talisman

Out of all these items, we recommend getting at least the greaves. Not only will it boost health and dodge distance, but it'll also increase your movement speed.
