How To Trigger Cabin Fever Quest In Avowed
After reaching the docks and activating the fast teleportation Beacon, you will see a couple of merchants to the left and a distressed woman searching for a Watcher, standing alone near a column to the right. Speak with her to trigger the Cabin Fever quest. It seems that Dehengen’s house was raided by a bunch of Xaurips and no one is willing to listen to her to help her with the problem.
Whenever you’re ready, head out and follow the mark on the map to reach Dehengen’s house. It’s located near the beach on a mountain and players can reach it using wooden bridges. Once Dehengen’s Cottage Beacon is activated, defeat the enemies in Avowed inside Dehengen’s house. Once everything is taken care of, the Envoy discovers a mural on the wall that paints a human and Xaurip together.
Before heading out, search around the house and collect anything valuable. Open the nearby door to enter Dehengen’s private room and read the journal there to discover that a Xaurip has been watching her every move and seems friendly.
Get out of the house and head south, to see the Xaurip leader walking around. Surprisingly, it’s not hostile and does not attack players. You can try speaking with it, but that won’t lead you anywhere as it can’t speak. With this information, return to Dehengen to help her make a crucial decision.

Seek Dehengen and speak with her about the diary in her house and the friendly Xaurip leader hanging around her house. Here, she confesses that someone told her she has a soul twin, and as it turns out, it’s the Xaurip leader. She’s confused and doesn’t know what to do, so Dehengen asks for your help to make a choice.
Tell Dehengen To Follow Her Heart
If you tell Dehengen to follow her heart as it’s her life, she won’t give the Xaurip leader a chance, sadly, and both live their separate lives. Dehengen will feel something is missing and will later regret not giving her soul twin a chance. You will be rewarded nothing.
Convince Dehengen To Give Her Soul Twin A Chance
If you convince Dehengen to give her soul twin a chance, players will end the quest and discover that both lived together in peace as soul twins. Players are rewarded the Vindictive Band accessory. It’s a unique ring that causes poison damage with every critical hit.
