Avowed is an action RPG that takes place on the Living Lands, a dangerous island located in the world of Eora. Fans can choose to play with both the first and third person, depending on their preference. The game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios.
As players are certainly curious about the game, some are even more curious about how long to beat Avowed. Knowing the length of the game and how many hours you get to spend on it might help some decide if they wish to play it or not.

How Long To Beat Avowed
If players choose to focus on the main story of Avowed and completely ignore the side quests, then it will take around 12 hours to complete. There aren’t that many main quests and each one takes approximately one hour to finish, assuming players defeat enemies easily. However, players will also visit an end-game area called The Garden, where they have to explore it as well until they reach the end to complete one of the final quests in the game, so it might take a while.
As for those who prefer to explore every nook and cranny and complete the majority or all of the side quests in addition to the main quests, then Avowed requires around 50 hours to complete. It is advised to do side quests and explore the areas as much as possible to become stronger and not suffer while fighting tough enemies. Also, some side quests reward rare items and decent money in Avowed, which allows you to buy better equipment from shops.
Exploration is split between four equally large regions; Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks. Each region can be revisited at any time and provides enemies to defeat and materials to harvest. Not to mention, the ability to explore underwater will increase the exploration duration, especially since you can pick up rare loot such as a totem fragment in Avowed.
God totems are fragments that are not shown on the map and collecting them will give players various buffs. Each region has its own totems and buffs, so players need to be thorough while exploring to find them all.
Considering some of the Avowed events are heavily influenced by players’ choices, you might play more than one playthrough to discover all the possible outcomes in the story. If you're ever lost, you can ask your companion’s opinions about the situation and make a choice after listening to their reasoning. That’s because you won’t see the consequences of some choices immediately but rather after a while, which is why you should consider the options before choosing.
