Obsidian's Avowed sends players on a spell-binding adventure full of secrets and possibilities. Among the powerful weapons and armor you can find along your journey, you'll also find secret passages and rooms that contain hidden treasures.

Players looking to complete their achievement lists will need to ensure they leave no stone unturned as they progress through the game's thrilling narrative. Some of the title's secrets can be uncovered as early as the opening mission, so this guide will shed some light on how to find the hidden room in Fort Northreach and earn the Hawkeye achievement in Avowed.

What Would You Rate Avowed Out Of 10?

I have had a really good time with Avowed in its advanced access release and am glad more people are going to get to experience what I think is one of the best RPGs in recent memory. But it's not without its faults. I absolutely love exploration, the feel of combat, the way you build a character, and I don't mind a lot of the traditional RPG game systems going on like upgrading armor and fetch quests. But I haven't really connected with the story so far, and if you're looking for a deep, immersive RPG to play, Avowed is a lot more like a streamlined RPG than a crunchy, old-school one. I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10 – just don't go into it expecting it to be like Skyrim.

How To Find The Hidden Room In Fort Northreach

The hidden room in Fort Northreach isn't overly difficult to find, but it is an area that can be easily missed, especially for those just starting out their Avowed adventure. Access to the room does not require a key or password, but you will need to find the door's button, which is more or less hidden in plain sight.

To access the hidden room, players will need to venture into Fort Northreach, as part of the introductory quest, and head past the room full of dead bodies. As you enter the next room with the large, green stone structure, you'll have three options to proceed: a room to the left, and two to the right. If you head toward the second room on the right, you will find a shield and key to the Fort Northreach storage room, which you can open by backtracking, as well as the passage to progress out of the fort. For the hidden room, you'll need to go into the first room on the right.

Once in the first room on the right, players can grab the roasted chicken on the table, which is great for when you need to heal your character, then turn right and walk towards the back wall. On the wall you will find a button, which will open the door to the hidden room once you press it. Be wary that the room contains an enemy that can spit poison at you, so be sure to equip your shield before entering.

Once inside the room, players will receive a notification that they have earned the Hawkeye achievement. While the room isn't full of valuable items, you can grab some Kith Meat for healing purposes, as well as a set of Vambraces from the chest at the back of the room. They're not particularly powerful, but they will serve as a step up from the default armor your character is wearing from the start of the game and can be upgraded, with the right materials.
