How to Get the Sigil of the Arcane in Avowed
You can find the Sigil of the Arcane inside a hidden room in Shark's Teeth, Shatterscarp. The map above shows the location of the secret door to this room. It is near the bridge, right across where you fight Captain Tago for his bounty. You will have to first clear the area by beating him and his minions.
This can be a tricky puzzle to solve because you need to activate three switches in the area to open the hidden door. You just have to follow the cables, but for your convenience, here's exactly where you can find all three switches to get your hands on the Sigil of the Arcane in Avowed.
You need a shock weapon, spell, or grenade to open electrical doors. Giatta's Spectral Jolt ability can also help light up these switches. She's one of the best companions in Avowed, so try having her in your party at all times.
Make your way to the middle of Shark's Teeth to find the secret door. You can save some traveling time by fast-traveling to the Shark's Teeth Party Camp in the north or the Shark's Mouth Beacon in the south.
- Switch 1: Take a left from the secret door to find the first switch. You only have to take a few steps from the hidden room to spot the first switch in the wall across the river.
- Switch 2: While facing the secret door, head right and follow the path as it curves left toward the upper levels. Climb the first wooden platform and zap the second switch by the wooden beams.
- Switch 3: Now, climb the second set of wooden platforms beside the previous switch. Look to your right after reaching the top to find the third and final switch.
After activating all three switches, return to the hidden room to find the door open. Head inside to find a lockbox on a table. Open it to get the Sigil of the Arcane in Avowed.
This unique ring is one of several accessories you can find in Shatterscarp. It is a must-have for mages and spellcasters, increasing ability-cast speed by 20 percent and reducing ability-essence cost by 20 percent. In other words, you get to cast spells faster and cheaper.
