While exploring the merchants’ stalls in Paradis, you will encounter a man named Sapiento muttering to himself in Avowed. Apparently, he is an alchemist and is trying to create a potion that will help restore the flora and fauna destroyed by the Dreamscourge.

However, there is one crucial ingredient missing, which is the luminous adra in Avowed. He sends a group to fetch him some, but they ignore him and seem distressed. So, the Envoy needs to investigate what’s going on to help Sapiento.

Should You Give The Adra To Sapiento Or Captain Bardatto In Avowed

After asking people around Paradis and locating the group Sapiento sent to find the adra, you discover that their package is gone after their ship sank, so they had to 'acquire' adra from the Vailian Trading Company, which angers Captain Bardatto.

Once the luminous adra is obtained from Trevik, you can follow the mark on the map to figure out how to deal with the captain. Here, players are faced with a choice in Avowed.

Should You Give The Adra To Sapiento In Avowed?

If you refuse to give the adra to Captain Bardatto, she will try and take it using force. Her whole team, plus a big bear, will attack players and their companions in Avowed to try and take the adra. Defeat them to protect Trevik and his friends.

Return to Sapiento and tell him the good news, then hand over the adra. The alchemist will be overjoyed and reward you with The Fantastic Alembic, a unique trinket that removes status accumulations upon drinking any potion. Sapiento will head to his lab and start working on the magical cure, giving players hope that there might be hope for it to succeed.

When you reach the final quest in Avowed, The Siege of Paradis, you will meet Sapiento again, and he'll confess even though he couldn't find a cure, he did manage to create a powerful tonic that will help immensely in the medical field.

Should You Give The Adra To Captain Bardatto In Avowed?

If you decide to give Captain Bardatto the luminous adra, you can make her promise not to touch Trevik and his friends if you prefer. She will be pleased but reward you with nothing unless you try to bargain with her.

Sadly, telling Sapiento that you do not possess the luminous adra will break his heart as he was waiting for it to start working on the cure. He will understand that you had to save his friends' lives, Trevik and the others, and will continue his life wondering if it was ever possible to complete his cure. Players will not receive any rewards if they make this decision.
