During the intro of Silent Hill f, in Ebisugaoka, you will eventually reach a home on the critical path that has two locked doors (and an enemy waiting inside). How to Find the Back Door Key in Silent Hill f
If you head upstairs and enter the first room you see, you will find the Bloody Key on the ground connected to a gross face. This is the key you will use to escape the home and progress the story of Silent Hill f, but to get the Back Door Key, leave the room with the Bloody Key and go across the hall (dodging the monster in the way) and enter the following room. Quickly grab the Back Door Key in the back corner near some boxes.
Where to Use the Back Door Key in Silent Hill f
Now, with the Back Door Key in hand, you will need to head back past the monster and go downstairs. Go to the other side of the home to find the only other locked door leading to the "backyard." This seems like a dead end, but you will find a short ladder leading to the Whale Omamori. These can be equipped onto your character and have several different effects.
This Whale one lets you use healing items without needing to worry about an enemy canceling the action with a regular attack. However, it won't work for every attack.
It's worth noting that once you progress past this home in Silent Hill f and save your game, the Back Door Key will become unusable, and you won't be able to claim the Whale Omamori reward.
