At the Adamantine Forge in Baldur's Gate 3, players can craft some incredible weapons and armor.
Updated on March 17, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: Upon reaching the Grymforge and exploring the area, players will eventually stumble upon the Adamantine Forge, where you can use some special ore and certain moulds to create unique items in Baldur's Gate 3. The process is not complicated by any means, it's just that in the middle of forging the item, a boss will appear and players must take care of it to proceed. There are a total of six different moulds you can find around the area, so make sure to collect all of them to create the desired item.
How To Reach Grymforge In Baldur's Gate 3
Players can reach the forge by delving into the Underdark and traveling to the dwarven ruins of Grymforge via boat. There are multiple methods of reaching the Underdark and the boat to Grymforge, which disembarks from the Decrepit Village at coordinates (X: 19, Y: -208). The player can also reach Grymforge via a hidden entrance to the Underdark located within the Goblin Camp, which leads the player to the beach where they can board the boat.
Once the player has made their way past some Duergar and has safely arrived in Grymforge, they should head to the Underdark - Grymforge Waypoint located at coordinates (X: -465, Y: 385) and unlock this fast travel point. Grymforge features a variety of enemies, hidden treasures, and quest objectives to keep players busy.
Where To Find All The Moulds In Baldur's Gate 3
In their exploration of Grymforge, the player can search for and obtain hidden moulds that can be used at the Adamantine Forge, located south of Grymforge, to craft specific gear pieces. There are six moulds to obtain: the Longsword Mould, Mace Mould, Scale Mail Mould, Scimitar Mould, Shield Mould, and the Splint Mould. Here’s where players can find them.
Longsword Mould
The Longsword Mould can be found at coordinates (X: -625 Y: 410) in Grymforge. The player should utilize the hanging platforms to reach the northern end of Grymforge’s center, where they can collect the Longsword Mould from the ground near a skeleton. This item can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the Adamantine Longsword.
Shield Mould
The Shield Mould can be found at coordinates (X: -559 Y: 410) in Grymforge, on a skeleton located in the northeastern corner of the map past locked double-iron doors. The player should take the platform to these doors, pick the lock, and head to the stairs at the back of the room where they’ll find the skeleton and Shield Mould. This item can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the 
Adamantine Shield.
Scimitar Mould
The Scimitar Mould is at coordinates (X: -607 Y: 322) in Grymforge. After the player has taken the hanging platform, it can be looted from a Skeleton near the table featuring the levers required to reach the Ancient Forge. This item can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the 
Adamantine Scimitar.
Splint Mould
The Splint Mould is located at coordinates (X: -597 Y: 309) in Grymforge. This mould can be looted off the ground near a skeleton found northeast of the Underdark - Ancient Forge Waypoint. It can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the 
Adamantine Splint Armour (Heavy Armor).
Mace Mould
The Mace Mould is located at coordinates (X: -609 Y: 284) in Grymforge. It can be collected from a table near the Underdark - Ancient Forge Waypoint. This item can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the 
Adamantine Mace.
Scale Mail Mould
The Scale Mail Mould is found at coordinates (X: -621 Y: 260) in Grymforge. The player can loot this mould from the ground just southwest of the Underdark - Ancient Forge Waypoint. The player and their party should be prepared to either fight or sneak past a nearby group of Animated Armour. This item can be used with Mithral Ore at the Adamantine Forge to craft the Adamantine Scale Mail (Medium Armor).
