Moonrise Tower is one of the key locations in Act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3, where you will face Ketheric Thorm. One of the mysteries is a suspicious sound that the residents of Moonrise Tower can tell you about. Of course, you will want to know who is making this sound and what it means, but finding its source is quite difficult. Although you can finish Act 2 getting to know what creates this sound, you shouldn't skip it because it will give you important information about the plot of Baldur's Gate 3.
Baldur's Gate 3: Best Warlock Class Build
The Best Baldur's Gate 3 Warlock build relies on the Great Old One for powers that turn the tide of a fight while empowering Eldritch Blast.
BG3: How to Find the Suspicious Sound
You can find out about the suspicious sound if you talk to Mig in the main hall. This orc will complain about meat noises, even though other followers of Absolute will not believe her. You can also find mucus flowing into the fireplace to the left of the entrance to the throne room, next to Araj's room. Thanks to this slime, you can figure out where you need to go because the place you need is right above the fireplace.
In the room in front of the entrance to the throne hall, you have to go left to the ladder at coordinates X:-138, Y:-164. Climb up it and jump to the place with the slime dripping under it. Thus, you will find a Cracked Wall with which you can interact.
Baldur's Gate 3: Best Rogue Class Build
The best Rogue build in BG3 takes the Thief subclass to new heights by allowing more Sneak Attack and Offhand opportunities.
When interacting, you will have the option of sticking your hand into the hole with tentacles or just walking away. Of course, it is worth giving in to curiosity, after which the tentacles will try to pull you inside. You will be able to make a Strength, Dexterity, or Sleight of Hand check. If you pass it successfully, you will be able to escape, but it makes no sense because you will miss an interesting dialog. Therefore, it is better to relax and let them pull you in.
Thus, you will begin a dialog with the Absolute itself where it will tell you that it is controlled by the Chosen Three, and only you can free it. When the dialog is over, the Dream Visitor will tell you to resist, but you can let the tentacles pull you in again because it has no negative consequences. Once you are pulled in, you will be taken to the illithid oubliette. When you try to get out of there, you will encounter several Hook Horrors that you will need to defeat. Leaving this location will lead you to Moonrise Towers Prison.
