Baldur’s Gate 3 has proven to be an amazing game since its very first Act and has thrown the player into a world where they have many options on how to handle any situation.
During the game’s Act 1, the player has the option of helping the Tieflings, which might take them to the Goblin Camp, with the goal of killing the three leaders - Minthara, True Soul Gut, and Dror Ragzlin.
Why Should The Player Kill The Goblin Leaders?
The player will probably get involved in the events happening in the Emerald Grove between the Tieflings and the Druids. Defeating the Goblin Leaders is one way to resolve what’s happening there. After the player talks to Kagha, they should then go talk to Zevlor. The player can tell him that his people need to leave for Baldur's Gate, for their own safety as the situation with the Druids is not getting better.
Zevlor says this travel is too dangerous because of the Goblins, so killing the Goblin leaders should make this travel safer for them. This will give the player the side quest “Defeat The Goblins”.
To help the Tieflings, this is a solid option for the player to undertake, however, there are also different options to take if the player so desires.
Where To Find The Goblin Leaders?
To find the Goblin leaders, the player must first find the Goblin camp. After exiting the Emerald Grove, the player should head west. The player will find themselves in the Blighted village at this point, however, they should keep on going west.
There are two paths to reach the Goblin Camp, one a bit more northwest and another slightly more southwest. Either way, the player should reach the camp. Once there, they need to make their way into the Shattered Sanctum, where they will be able to find each of the leaders in different locations.
The first that the player will spot is going to be Priestess Gut, followed by Dror Ragzlin, and finally, Minthara, tucked in her own isolated location.
Why Kill The Leaders By Combat?
There are definitely ways to defeat the three leaders that require minimal or no combat at all. However, many of these will cause the Leader’s loot to be lost, such as collapsing Minthara’s bridge to cause her to fall to her death.
Minthara, especially, is carrying some pretty good loot, so it’s best to kill her by combat.
Killing them will also make for a great challenge as each of the leaders has their own way of fighting.
How To Kill Minthara in Baldur's Gate 3
When taking on the tough goal of killing the Three Goblin Leaders, the player is most likely to succeed if they start with Minthara. That is due to her being in a more secluded area than the other two, making it harder for her to call for reinforcements.
When fighting her, a good option is to cut off the bridge to her room, as it will make it harder for her to get any reinforcement as she’s cut off from the rest.
One of the player’s allies should attack the Scrying Eye while the rest focus on Minthara. This will halt the call for reinforcements as well. To kill it, make sure to use magic attacks.

Shdowheart is a great healer and addition to the player's party in BG3.
Minthara is quite powerful and can heal herself so it’s important for the player to use their heaviest attacks as early as possible to defeat her fast.
What Loot Does Minthara Have?
Minthara is the main leader the player needs to loot as she has some very good items and clothes. Notably:
- The Xyanyde
- The Spidersilk Armour
- The Studded Shield
- Simple Boots
- Amulet of Misty Steps
- Boots of Striding
How To Kill Dror Ragzlin in Baldur's Gate 3
The next target the player should head towards is Dror Ragzlin. This leader might be the most challenging out of the bunch. The player shouldn’t engage with him and his allies on the ground, but instead go up the ladder to the rafters area. From there, the player will have a big advantage with ranged attacks.
The player can start taking out Dror Ragzlin and his crew from above. They will, of course, try to climb up but the player should’ve taken out a good number of them before that happens. It’s also a good idea to throw spells down on them, like Greese or Poison Spray, to try and inflict the most damage on their group as a whole.
Once they reach the player up, however, it can be an issue as one successful push can cause the player to fall down and take some hefty damage. However, the same can be done to them.
With this, the player should be able to defeat Dror Ragzlin, which would leave only one Goblin Leader remaining.
What Loot Does Dror Ragzlin Have?
Unlike other bosses, Dror Ragzlin does not have much on. However, the player can still get Faithbreaker – an uncommon weapon that deals good damage, in addition to bludgeoning damage.
Freeing Halsin Before Fighting Priestess Gut
Before going to attack the last Goblin Leader, Priestess Gut, the player should now consider freeing Halsin from his cell as he will be a huge asset here.
It would’ve been harder to defeat other leaders with Halsin alongside the player as he cannot stop himself from attacking Goblins on sight, which can ruin any tactic the player might want to use.
Now that there’s only Priestess Gut present, it does not matter much and the player should go get him from the Worg Pens.
This might entail a small fight but nothing that the players can't handle. Once Halsin is free, the player has an extra 5th temporary member who will help them in defeating the rest of the Goblins.
How To Kill True Soul Gut In Baldur's Gate 3
Now that the player has an extra member, they will be able to easily take on True Soul Gut. While she is the first the player will encounter when entering the Shattered Sanctum, she should be left for last because if she calls for reinforcements, it will be over for the player. Now that the player has killed Minthara and Dror Ragzlin, there are no major reinforcements for her to call.
With that, the player can just decimate her and whoever stands with her. It’s also important to note that there are many things the player can break to drop on her if they look above. This can make it even easier to lower her HP and defeat her.
With True Soul Gut defeated, the player has completed their mission and has managed to defeat every single Goblin leader.
