Baldur’s Gate 3 has proven itself to be an amazing game and has taken the gaming world by storm. Its gameplay, largely based on Dungeons & Dragons, allows the player to infinitely customize their character and, therefore, have a lot of control over their adventure. The game showcases many races the player can pick from, and, out of these, one that stands out to many is the Tiefling race.
Baldur's Gate 3: Human Race Best Build
The Human race is worth trying out in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's how players can get the best out of it.
The Tiefling race is a great choice for anyone getting into Baldur’s Gate 3. It can be quite flexible, but it does have a great affinity to a certain class more than others.
Overview
The Tiefling race are the descendants of the devils in Baldur’s Gate 3 and come with these features:
- Base Racial Speed, granting the character 9 meters of movement.
- Darkvision, allowing the character to see up to 12 meters in the dark.
- Hellish Resistance, which halves fire damage
There are 3 Tiefling subraces:
- The Asmodeus Tiefling, gets the Cantrip
Produce Flame at level 1. Allows the character to create a small flame in their hand.
- The Mephistopheles Tiefling, has
Mage Hand at level 1 as their cantrip. Allows the character to create a hand that they can use to manipulate objects from afar.
- The Zariel Tiefling, acquires the
Thaumaturgy cantrip at level 1. Gives an advantage on performance and intimidation checks.
Best Build For The Tiefling - The Sorcerer
All Tiefling subraces have a great affinity to magic, with the best subrace being the Mephistopheles, thanks to the possibility of gaining Flame Blade, an extremely powerful spell they unlock at level 5.
For the Tiefling, one of the very best builds will be the Sorcerer, which will give them access to sorcerer points and many options for cantrips and spells.
The player should pick the draconic bloodline subclass, as this subclass will give them access to daggers, Quarterstaves, and to light crossbows. With this subclass, players will have to invest in charisma points. Any of the dragon ancestry works well, but Blue would be the best.
The Draconic bloodline subclass will also eventually allow the player to unlock the feature Fly, which can be incredibly useful.
When picking this build, the best option for background is the Sage, as it pairs amazingly well and will grant the character Arcane and History proficiency.
Other proficiencies the character can invest in are Deception, Intimidation, and Persuasion.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available to play on PC and PlayStation 5.
