Some Baldur's Gate 3 players have discovered a loot bug that can cause players to miss out on valuable items. Looting is essential for players to empower their characters and progress in the game.
Baldur's Gate 3 is off to a spectacular start, becoming the highest-rated PC game of all time. Baldur's Gate 3 has been met with colossal success on Steam, hitting an all-time peak of 875,343 concurrent players on August 14. There is no doubt that the game raised the bar for future RPGs.
Reddit user jixxor created a thread to warn Baldur's Gate 3 players about a missing loot bug they noticed during a co-op play session. The bug makes loot not show up until the player manipulates the content of a container. The "Loot All" button doesn't catch those missing items, which requires players to detect them by holding down ALT and checking whether containers are marked as empty. They should drag an item from their inventory to containers to see if there is any loot. This massive bug may cause players to miss out on precious items and affect their progress in the game. In the Reddit thread, fellow players confirmed experiencing the same bug, with some claiming that missing that much loot would be impacting everyone. Some players were unaware of it until they saw the Reddit post.
With Baldur's Gate 3's launch is in full swing, some players have noticed some annoying bugs that have impacted their gameplay experience. Fortunately, Larian Studios has released a hotfix update for Baldur's Gate 3, fixing over 200 bugs and technical problems. The newly discovered issue with items not appearing in containers will hopefully be addressed soon.
This is not the only issue Baldur's Gate 3 players have had since it's launch on PC in early August. Baldur's Gate 3 recently issued an emergency update to increase players' personal story databases, which were too small to handle all choices that could be made in the game. Considering the sheer size of Baldur's Gate 3, it's no surprise that players encounter some bugs and gameplay hiccups.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available now on PC, with a PS5 version coming out on September 6 and an Xbox version also in development.
