A Baldur's Gate 3 player has discovered a cool new trick with Shadowheart after playing the game for 2000 hours. This cool Baldur's Gate 3 trick could theoretically be used to duplicate many one-of-a-kind items in the game.
Ever since the launch of Baldur's Gate 3, it has been clear that Larian's CRPG is filled with tons of tiny details and tricks that will take years to fully uncover. Gamers can play Baldur's Gate 3 for thousands of hours and still discover something new, which gives the game a strong sense of replayability. Now, over two years after release, one experienced player has discovered another surprising trick.

Baldur's Gate 3 Player Discovers Weapon Duplication Glitch
Over on Reddit, user Acceptable_Account_2 discovered that by casting Invoke Duplicity with Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3, and then disarming the copy of herself using a Battlemaster's Disarming Attack, they're able to pick up the weapon that drops. This remains even after the illusion of Shadowheart disappears, essentially working as a weapon duplication glitch. They discovered this after playing 2000 hours of Baldur's Gate 3, showing that even veterans have plenty to find in the game.
Although the player claims this method is too slow to effectively farm gold with in Baldur's Gate 3, they were trying to figure out potential uses for it. Some of their potential plans include duplicating "some Finesse two hand weapons to get a Dex Paladin and a Dex Battlemaster going. Or maybe give everyone a pair of Knives of the Undermountain King." It's cool to see such a simple combination of abilities creating this interesting scenario.
Earlier this year, Larian released Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate 3, the last major update for the game. And despite the developer moving on from its critically acclaimed CRPG, the community is still here to stay, likely finding fun new tricks for years to come. It's a credit to the work Larian did on the game that players still feel like there's even more to discover yet.
