Baldur’s Gate 3 has lots of spectacular and powerful loot that players can obtain. From the Everburn Blade to the legendary shortsword Crimson Mischief and the glowing bow Gontr Mael. This game is full of items that can boost the stats of companions and aid them in battle, as well as adding spells for them to cast and giving advantages to attacks and saving throws and granting additional elemental damage to weapons.

There is one place in Baldur’s Gate 3 that houses a gold mine of loot that will be incredibly beneficial to any character. This place in question is none other than the home of the devil Raphael himself, the House of Hope. Raphael will introduce himself in Act 1 and will occasionally pop up as the story progresses. However, in Act 3, players will get the chance to explore his House of Hope and loot all his valuable possessions.

The House of Hope’s Gold Mine of Loot

Boudoir

The Boudoir is the home of Raphael's personal Incubus, Haarlep, and the player is sent here to gain information from Haarlep about the Orphic Hammer. Haarlep asks a favor of the player in order to give them the information they need, but if players choose to fight them, then they will obtain the Helldusk Gloves after defeating them.

Archive

This is where Raphael has some of his prized possessions on display and is where the Orphic Hammer is located. The Orphic Hammer is not the greatest two-handed weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3, and primarily serves as a plot device for Lae’zel’s quest, but there is some worthwhile loot here. Players must sneak and steal the loot in this area and make sure they aren't caught by the Archivist, otherwise they'll have to fight their way through the rest of the House of Hope if they fail the skill checks.

  • Strength score set to 23.
  • Strength saving throws +1.

Orphic Hammer

Advantage on saving throws against spells.

Locked Vault

The vault is located to the north of the House of Hope and is a danger-free area. It is unlocked after a DC10 Wisdom followed by a DC20 Arcana check on an Infernal Gem, but once players gain access to the vault, they will be able to obtain the Helldusk Helmet and the Staff of Spellpower.

  • See in magical and ordinary darkness up to 12m/40ft.
  • Cannot be blinded.
  • +2 bonus to saving throws against spells. Attackers can't land critical hits.
  • Can cast Immolating Gaze, +2d8 Fire DMG against Burning creatures.

Staff of Spellpower

  • +1 bonus to Spell Save DC and Spell Attack Rolls.
  • Cast one spell without using a spell slot once per long rest.

Hope’s Prison

If players decide to rescue Raphael’s prisoner, Hope, then they will have to engage in combat with a pair of Spectators. The Spectators are powerful foes, and they will make use of their paralyzing beams, but will drop the Burnished Ring.

Raphael and Hope

There is more additional loot in Baldur's Gate 3's House of Hope that can only be obtained from Raphael and Hope. When attempting to leave, Raphael will engage the player in battle, but once he's defeated, players can loot the Helldusk Armor from him. Just before leaving after defeating Raphael, Hope will reward the player with the Gloves of Soul Catching.

  • Once per turn, regain 10HP on an unarmed hit. Alternatively, advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until end of next turn.
