Larian Studios has confirmed that Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 will hit PS5 and Xbox Series X in October. Larian's continued support for Baldur's Gate 3 has made an already-incredible game even better. The studio could have simply left Baldur's Gate 3 alone after launch, and it still would have been one of the highest-rated video games ever made.
But instead of resting on its laurels, Larian decided to release numerous updates for Baldur's Gate 3 post-launch. One of the biggest updates saw Larian add Honour Mode to the game, giving players an extreme challenge where death is permanent. The latest Baldur's Gate 3 update is one of the most substantial to date, though it's so far only available to those playing the game on PC.
Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 is out now on PC, giving PC gamers the chance to experience the new evil ending cinematics and take advantage of the all the new bug fixes that have been implemented. But just as console gamers had to wait a month after BG3 hit PC to play the game for themselves, they have to wait at least a month for the Patch 7 update. Larian has confirmed that Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 will hit PS5 and Xbox Series X in October, though has stopped short of providing a specific release date. More information on that front should come to light in the weeks ahead, though it's unclear exactly how far in advance fans will get notice. After all, Larian didn't disclose the release date for the PC version of Patch 7 until it was just days away.
When is Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 Coming to Consoles?

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 notably addresses bugs that have been plaguing Act 3 and also looks to revamp split-screen. While split-screen is available in the PC version of Baldur's Gate 3, it's safe to assume that the feature gets the most use from console gamers. Personally, I am very interested in seeing how Baldur's Gate 3 split-screen is improved with Patch 7 and if the update addresses some of the major split-screen-related crashing issues that pop up in Act 3.
It's worth pointing out that not everything in Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 on PC will necessarily be relevant to console gamers. For example, the new Baldur's Gate 3 update on PC adds a Mod Manager, which makes it easier for players to browse and install community-made mods. Most of the update's content will still apply though, and it's also possible that there may be some console-specific bug fixes and things of that nature. Baldur's Gate 3 fans on consoles will have to wait and see if Larian provides different patch notes when it brings Update 7 to the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the game in October.
