Baldur's Gate 3 is an isometric RPG developed by Larian Studios, who have a history of developing other critically acclaimed isometric RPGs such as Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin 2. Set in the Forgotten Realms, players create their own protagonist in an ode to classic Dungeons and Dragons, selecting their class and narrative origin, with gameplay following the D20 dice roll to determine the outcome of battle and other gameplay events. You manage a party of dynamic party members you meet during your journey, with your decisions in the game either creating stalwart allies, or sworn enemies.
