Lagoon Layer Challenge Course 3 Guide for DK Bananza (Pop…

Players can earn three bananas (Banandium Gems) in Donkey Kong Bananza's Lagoon Layer Challenge Course 3 (Kong Bananza: Pop Party). You can use these gems to unlock skill points for DK, letting the ape upgrade his abilities and get new moves.

You actually don't need Banandium Gems to progress the story, but you're here because you probably want to find all three bananas in the Pop Party course in Lagoon Layer's SL 102. The challenge course is pretty straightforward, but there's one pesky Banandium Gem that might give DK Bananza players some issues, so if that's you, you can use this guide for help!

Location of Lagoon Layer Challenge Course 3 in Donkey Kong Bananza

Enter Sublayer 102

As you unlock Pauline and progress the story of DK Bananza, you will eventually end up in SL102 in Lagoon Layer. As soon as you drop in, follow the main path, and on your left, you will spot a sealed door leading to the challenge room.

You'll need to transform first using L+R to break down the door. Regular DK isn't strong enough to open it-- the challenge involves using your newly acquired Kong Bananza form to break five balloons and also find three Banandium Gems.

All Balloons and Bananas in Lagoon Layer Challenge Course 3 in Donkey Kong Bananza

Balloon 1

As soon as the level starts, you will see the first balloon near the fish creature that helps you out with fast travel.

Balloon 2

Take a few steps past the first balloon and then turn to the right to find a stone enemy with the balloon on top of them.

Balloon 3

Go closer to the corner of the map to find another stone enemy with a balloon on its head.

You should be able to see the balloons and bananas easily by slamming your hands on the ground for DK's Sonar power.

Balloon 4

Go to the opposite side of the course to find a spinning mechanism. Head into an adjacent "room" to find yet more stone monsters, with one having a balloon.

Balloon 5

Return to the spinning mechanism and dig underneath it to find the fifth balloon.

Banana 1

You'll get the first Banandium Gem once you find and destroy the five hidden balloons. The banana will spawn near the course's exit/entrance.

Banana 2

Just climb to the top of the structure to find the second hidden Banandium Gem in Kong Bananza: Pop Party.

Banana 3

If you carefully move the camera up to look underneath the structure above, you will see a hanging banana. You can climb the nearby wall and then hang onto the platform to reach it and eat it.
