A Battlefield 6 developer has revealed that the Assault class will see a few important changes from the open beta. Many players felt Battlefield 6's Assault class was overpowered, but Battlefield Studios is looking to address this for release.

It's clear that Battlefield Studios saw last month's Battlefield 6 open beta as an important vehicle to receive player feedback. There have already been plenty of changes announced to Battlefield 6 based on this feedback, and there will likely be tons of small details that get adjusted that many won't notice. The time between the beta and release may be too short to make any enormous changes, but in terms of fine-tuning the final product, it's unlikely that there's any better way for Battlefield Studios to do it.

Reasons Why You Should Play Battlefield 6

On the fence about buying Battlefield 6? Here is a list of reasons why you should jump in and try it out for yourself when it launches in October.

Battlefield 6's Assault Class is Being Changed From the Open Beta

Speaking to Edge magazine, Ripple Effect creative director Thomas Andersson has claimed that changes are coming to Battlefield 6's Assault class. "The class system has already moved beyond what's in open beta," says Andersson, who also claims that Assault players will face "reduced efficiency in some areas." However, it will also be "getting stronger from a teamplay perspective. We're moving the deploy beacon to Assault instead of Recon, to [reinforce] 'this is the guy to spawn on.' They're going to be the one getting behind enemy lines, setting up, all that sort of stuff."

So far, balance appears to be one area that Battlefield Studios is keen to get right with Battlefield 6. After all, it's easy for players to get frustrated by a particularly overpowered class or weapon, and put the game down as a result. Balance helps longevity. It was recently revealed that Battlefield 6 is toning down the auto-spotting feature, as beta feedback indicated it was too overpowered. It's good that these areas are being quickly identified and resolved by the developer prior to launch.

There's still just under a month to go until the launch of Battlefield 6 on October 10, and it's interesting to see the level of insight fans are getting into the development process via interviews with developers. Hopefully, there are still a few surprises in store for players when the game releases.
