In a new community update, Battlefield 6 players learned a few new details regarding the upcoming and highly anticipated Battle Royale mode. There's a lot on the horizon for Battlefield 6, as Season 1 is finally right around the corner, which means new content to check out and potentially, the arrival of the highly anticipated Battle Royale game mode.
Coming off of Battlefield 6's massively successful launch, EA is now steering the hit title towards its live-service future with Season 1 set to launch on October 28. A recent gameplay trailer gave fans a look at some of the new content, which includes maps like Blackwell Fields and Eastwood, along with all the new weapons, vehicles, and game modes. However, one aspect that remains a big mystery is the upcoming Battle Royale mode, though fans recently got a few details in a recent Battlefield Comms update.

Battlefield 6 Reveals Fan Requested Battle Royale Updates
In a recent blog post, the comms team revealed how Battlefield Labs players have helped shape the Battle Royale experience through feedback. While details remain very scarce regarding Battlefield 6's Battle Royale, the post does seem to confirm new details, including how players will start with 1 armor plate, but have the capacity to hold 2 until further upgrades can be found while looting. Time-to-kill has also been adjusted at close range, giving players slightly more time to counter enemy players. Vehicles and helicopters have been adjusted and remain powerful tools, but they won't be necessary to survive or make it easier to win during the late stages of a game.
The post also goes further into detail regarding planned changes arriving during Battlefield 6's first season, including an overhaul of the challenge system. Feedback has highlighted that some of the challenge criteria can be overly complex or require too much time to complete, so the studio is working on adjustments over the course of multiple updates. Some requirements are being lowered, such as adrenaline injector kills going from 30 to 3 and Deadeye 2 reducing the number of 200m headshot kills from 150 to just 5.
While EA has yet to really reveal the Battle Royale mode, fans have been relying on leaks to get their information fix. In fact, a new report indicates that Battlefield 6 could shadow drop its Battle Royale mode alongside the Season 1 update on October 28. Dataminers discovered a new content drop inside the EA App codenamed Granite, which isn't related to the Season 1 content. While nothing is official, many are under the belief that this could be the long-awaited Battle Royale mode, though for now, players should take the information with a grain of salt until official news finally arrives.
