Battlefield 6 Has Long Queues After Season One and RedSec's Release
Multiple gamers have reported being stuck in long login queues to play Battlefield 6 and the REDSEC F2P battle royale, with one player facing a line of over 50,000 people. It’s unknown when the servers will be fully stable again, but it would not be surprising if they took a few hours to be completely back to normal.
Likely, the reason why so many people are flocking to Battlefield 6 is due to the release of Battlefield REDSEC. Only officially announced a day before its launch, Battlefield REDSEC offers a F2P experience not unlike the popular Call of Duty: Warzone, which may attract a wide audience. Matches are held on a huge map set in Southern California, and the game features a deadly storm circle that periodically engulfs areas, destroying whatever it touches.
Battlefield 6’s Season One is also packed with content that may have lured players back. The first part of the season is called Rogue Ops, and it brought new weapons, as well as the Blackwell Fields area, to the popular shooter. Blackwell Fields seems like a very large map, with tons of open space for players to use vehicles and engage in combat with each other.
While these recent login queues may be annoying for Battlefield 6 players, they at least indicate that the hype surrounding the title has not died down yet. Soon after the release, Battlefield 6 managed to reach over 740,000 simultaneous players on Steam, and it sold over 7 million units in only three days. These numbers made Battlefield 6 quickly become the most successful game in the series, so it’s likely that Battlefield Studios will continue working hard to offer fresh experiences to players to keep them engaged.
