The Support class in Battlefield 6 forms the backbone of both NATO and Pax Armata forces. They are versatile fighters who can do a little bit of everything (except deal with vehicles), and they can bring the fight to the enemy just as well as anyone else on the team can, provided they bring the right tools for the job.
A good Support player can make a huge impact during a match, whether it's taking enemies out or keeping teammates alive. This guide covers three loadouts for Supports in BF6 that caters to both offensive and defensive playstyles.

Combat Medic |
This Support build for BF6 focuses on fast frontline fighting. Your job is to keep your friends topped off on ammo and health while providing cover with Smoke Grenades. Everyone on your team will thank you for doing both, especially if you're playing as an attacker on Breakthrough.
Out of all the weapons in BF6, rifles, carbines, and SMGs are the preferred weapons for this loadout due to the nature of the playstyle itself. You'll want to move closely with your team, and that means your engagement range will be constantly be shifting. The RPKM and DRS-IAR are great choices too, as they are basically assault rifles that fall under the Support's Signature Weapon class.
Defensive Fire Support Loadout in Battlefield 6
|
Weapon |
LMG or Sniper Rifle of choice |
|
Gadget 1 |
Maxguard 900 Deployable Cover |
|
Gadget 2 |
LWCMS Portable Mortar |
|
Grenade |
Smoke Grenade |

Field Spec |
Fire Support |
Unlike the first loadout, this specializes in providing fire support from the rear or flanks. Instead of moving up with your team, your job here is to soften the enemy's position with mortar shells and provide cover for your teammates with an LMG or a sniper rifle.
Find a good place to camp in, then create your own sniper or machine gun nest with your Deployable Cover. If the team is prepping for a big push, use your mortar to apply pressure on the enemy team. Keep in mind that the Fire Support Field Spec will make your weapons handle better when they are mounted, so be sure to equip a bipod on your primary weapon, or mount them against some cover.
If you're seeing a lot of grenades getting thrown your way, then consider swapping the Deployable Cover gadget out for a GPDIS trophy system.

Fire Support/Combat Medic |
This build focuses on firepower through fire, smoke, and explosives. Much like the Combat Medic build, you'll be pushing with your team when using this one, but instead of reviving and resupplying teammates, your job here is to flush the enemy out with grenades. Use the smoke launcher to cover your advance and block the enemy's lines of sight, and use the incendiary airburst launcher to suppress the enemy or prevent them from repositioning.
The good thing about the Support class is they can replenish their own ammo using the GOLIATH Supply Bag. Just toss one down, and wait for it to replenish all of your grenades and ammo. This playstyle also works really well with aggressive LMG usage.
