There are a million things going on in every big Battlefield 6 multiplayer match, and because of that, many of the smaller details tend to go unnoticed. Field Specs are closely tied to each of the playable classes, and while they are all important, they are also very easy to overlook.
Field Specs give players small but significant tactical bonuses, and using the right one can make a huge difference on how you perform during a match. In this guide, we'll be going over how Field Specs work, as well as all the ones available to each of the classes in Battlefield 6.
How to Complete All Assault Class Challenges in Battlefield 6
Each class in Battlefield 6 has its own set of challenges to complete, and the Assault class challenges will reward you with a free skin.
How Do Field Specs Work in Battlefield 6?
Field Specs are essentially a set of passive skills that are based around a certain theme. Think of them as subclasses — one Field Spec can make a Recon player into a more effective sniper, while another can turn an Assault player into an even meaner monster in close quarters, especially with the right weapons.
Players can equip different Field Specs when they're adjusting their loadouts, but there's a catch: Field Spec passives only activate once you earn enough Score during a match. Unlike the baked-in class passives, Field Specs take time to go online, and the better you perform, the quicker you'll activate them. This also means that Field Specs reset after every match.
Actions that harm enemies or help allies all contribute to your score. If you're having trouble taking opponents out, you can earn Score points by helping your team in other ways, such as spotting targets or getting Assists.
All Field Specs in Battlefield 6
As of writing, there are two Field Spec options for each class, with the secondary options being locked behind account progression. Depending on how you want to play BF6, you'll want to change what Field Spec you use.
