Battlefield 6 has just released its free-to-play battle royale mode, RedSec, and PlayStation Plus subscribers can now claim a free Battlefield 6 cosmetic pack to mark the occasion. PlayStation Plus subscribers have already had access to a few exclusive Battlefield 6 rewards, such as extra tiers for Battlefield Pro, extensions on double XP events, and squad XP boosts, but this new pack is even more rewarding.

Landing just two weeks after the base game's launch, Battlefield 6: RedSec is the long-awaited follow-up to Battlefield V's Firestorm battle royale mode. RedSec launched today alongside Battlefield 6 Season 1, which adds some new maps, modes, weapons and a battle pass to the multiplayer military shooter.

Starting October 28, those with an active PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium tier membership can claim Battlefield 6's 'Rogue Ops' pack for no additional cost. All of the items included in this bundle can then be used by players in both Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode and its new RedSec offerings.

Battlefield 6's Rogue Ops pack contains 11 exclusive cosmetics, which include the following:

  • "Going Dark" soldier skin for the PAX Assault class
  • "Night Raid" vehicle skin for the UH-79
  • "Arctic Reign" weapon package for the L110
  • "Early Grave" weapon package for the P18
  • "Lamina" parachute
  • "No Limits" patch
  • "Target Spotted" player card background
  • "Lead Rain" dog tag
  • "Jacked In" weapon charm
  • "Seasoned" weapon sticker
  • "Aggressive Tactics" vehicle decal

The dark color scheme of the Battlefield 6 Rogue Ops pack "Going Dark" skin could be a controversy waiting to happen, however. Call of Duty: Warzone's Roze "Rook" skin – which features a similarly dark color scheme – received widespread criticism when it launched a few years ago due to readability issues. That said, Battlefield 6's "Going Dark" skin does feature areas of armor that have white highlights, so it probably won't be nearly as much of an issue as the all-black Roze skin that could barely be seen in the shadows.

To claim the Rogue Ops pack, players simply need to head over to the PlayStation Store (a link to the US PS Store can be found in the Source link at the bottom of this page), make sure they have an active PS Plus subscription of any tier, and download the pack.
