Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is a service that just keeps growing in value with every passing day. The service was already bursting, allowing subscribers access to hundreds of high-quality games at a low price. Xbox Game Pass has only gotten better, with the addition of Bethesda and EA's catalog of games under the umbrella, and far more.
In addition to this, Microsoft is also looking to grab as many high-profile AAA releases as possible, as evident with the recent release of Outriders on launch and the upcoming MLB The Show 21. The next entry in the highly popular Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 6 is also rumored to launch on Xbox Game Pass which is huge, for a variety of reasons.
Battlefield Is An EA Heavy Hitter
Recent Battlefield games might not have had the most consistently positive critical reception but are no slouch when it comes to sales. In a similar vein to Activision's Call of Duty series, the Battlefield games are a commercial darling and mostly rank among the bestsellers time and time again.
This speaks to the volume and profitability of Game Pass if so, for both Battlefield 6 and subscribers. It just means they get the game even cheaper. With the debut launch of the game on the service, it could open the doors for future Battlefield games launching on the service as well, even up to a point where it could be considered as a standard affair. Microsoft's continued pursuit to snag as many high-profile AAA releases as possible is definitely enticing for fans wanting to side Xbox for this generation, and the inclusion of blockbusters such as Battlefield 6 may be a groundbreaking step for now.
In addition to this, such a deal also opens up room for speculation on what other games might be looming over the horizon. The addition of a previously Sony-exclusive franchise MLB The Show 21's debut on the service is a testament to the limits Xbox seems to be capable of reaching, and it might not be far when the biggest blockbusters such as the likes of future Assassin's Creed games and perhaps, even the Call of Duty games would be a part of the service at launch.
